Ohio Christian Named Military Friendly School

Ohio Christian University was recently named a 2011 Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs. The list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America's veterans as students.

To honor the courageous men and women who serve our country, OCU's adult education program is pleased to announce it will now offer the affordable tuition rate of $250 per credit hour to all veterans, active service members, and military spouses, and dependents age 23 or under. This is a flat rate of tuition, applicable to all undergraduate programs through OCU's adult education department.  With this reduced rate, it is very likely that all tuition and book expenses can be covered through applicable military benefits.

"Many of our top administrators and leadership at Ohio Christian University have proudly served their country" said Tim Eades, associate vice president of adult education.  Eades continued, "OCU desires to honor those who have served or are serving their county with a reduced and affordable tuition rate, credit for military training, relevant programs, and delivery methods fully online or at one of our 15 site locations in Ohio."

OCU's efforts related to military families do not stop at the reduced tuition rate.  Military service members and veterans receive a swift evaluation of military training for college credit.  OCU utilizes the Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experience in the Armed Services, published by the American Council on Education. Additionally, the OCU financial aid office and academic advising area is staffed with subject matter experts ready to assist the specific needs of veterans and spouses.  OCU adult education courses are offered one class at a time to fit the busy lives of adult students.
