New Career Services Website for OCU
The Career Services Department of OCU announces the new Career Services website. This site is accessible through the students’ My OCU site and can assist them in many ways. Students can create resumes, cover letters and thank you notes. They may also utilize this site to search for Work Study jobs, local part time jobs, Christian Service opportunities and even the option for national job searches. Potentially, in the future, students may use the site to search for internship possibilities.
Career Services will no longer send out emails advising of job opportunities. Instead all OCU departments are asked to email Jan Shannon, Director of Career Services, with information regarding any on-campus jobs available for Work Study or any local jobs that might assist our students. In preparation for their careers beyond OCU, students will now be asked to complete a resume to apply for a specific job instead of a general Work Study application.
Students are encouraged to utilize this site to create their resumes and store them as they progress through their OCU education. The Career Services Department can view and give feedback on the resumes at the student’s request.
At this time the site is only available to AGS and traditional students as well as recent graduates. The Career Services Department is working to expand the site’s accessibility to include older alumni, faculty and staff, and will announce when this service is available to all of the OCU family.
