Education Outside the Classroom
The Students from TE322 "Teaching, Reading in the Content Area" took a tour to visit the exact replica of the Santa Maria, a 15th Century seaworthy ship, docked on the Scioto River in Columbus. They used the experience to create a class Interdisciplinary Unit with a focus on the life and explorations of Christopher Columbus.
The Students from the "Children's Literature" class visited the Massa Museum in Findlay, OH. The museum is the largest of it's kind, showcasing a large collection of original art work featured in children's literature.
