Baseball Ends Road Trip with Sweep of Johnson University

KNOXVILLE, TN - Ohio Christian capped off their 2013 spring break road trip to the south with a doubleheader sweep of Johnson University. The Trailblazers defeated Johnson 12-8 and 8-5 to move to 2-0 in NCCAA Mid-East Region play.
Avery Sneed led the offensive effort with 7 hits and 7 rbi's. Sneed banged out a total of 4 doubles in the two games. Tyler Goff and Ryan Black both connected on 4 hits on the day.
On the mound, standout Nathan Wheeler picked up a complete game win the opener for OCU. Tyler Jones showed well in the nightcap, pitching 5 innings of one run relief to get the win and secure the sweep.
The Blazers are back in action on Tuesday when they host OU-Lancaster at 4:00 PM. The game is scheduled to be played on Olson Field on the campus of OCU.
