Baseball Gets Clipped by UC-Clermont
CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The OCU men's baseball team could not get the offense going in a pair of losses to UC-Clermont on Thursday afternoon.
In what proved to be a matchup of pitching and defense, Clermont edged out the Trailblazers 2-0 in the opener. The night cap was another pitchers duel as OCU came up short 3-2.
OCU pitcher, Mike Miller tossed 7 innings of solid pitching in game one, yielding only one earned run. Richie French tossed 7 innings in game two, allowing 3 earned runs, and striking out two batters.
Cory Haner provided the offense for OCU, connecting on a pinch hit, two out, two RBI single in the bottom of the 7th inning of the night cap.
The Blazers now sit a 10-27 on the season, having lost their last 6 games. OCU will look to end their drought today in a doubleheader against The University of the Cumberlands at 2:30PM.
