Madison Christian Senior Ryan McCauley Joins Blazers

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Ryan McCauley will be playing baseball at Ohio Christian University next year.  The standout senior catcher from Madison Christian High School signed his letter of intent this week on the OCU campus alongside his parents and coaches.  McCauley joins former high school teammate Mike Miller Jr. at OCU.

McCauley enjoyed a strong senior season playing under head coach Mike Miller Sr. at Madison Christian.  The Eagles went 17-7 on the season and once again had a strong showing in the Mid Ohio Christian Athletic League.  McCauley was a force to be reckoned with as the senior batted .550 on the season.  He tallied 33 hits, 30 runs, and 22 rbi's in 60 at bats.  His on base percentage of .646 and slugging percentage of .717 placed him near the top of the MOCAL.  He showed his speed on the basepaths as well, swiping 17 bases on the season.  Defensively he threw out 11 base stealers while holding a .987 fielding percentage.

For his solid showing on the field, McCauley was selected as a 1st Team All- Mid Ohio Christian Athletic League honoree.  He was also voted at a 1st Team All-District selection as a catcher for the Central District in Division IV.

Ryan joins a talented OCU baseball program that is coming off three straight Mid-East Region titles and three straight NCCAA World Series appearances.
