OCU Defeats Arlington Baptist 9-8 at NCCAA World Series


CINCINNATI, OH - OCU built an 8 to 1 early lead and hung on to knock off the 3rd seeded Arlington Baptist College Squad. Ryan Black and Kelton sines were the offensive leaders with Black driving in 4 huge runs with a single and a bases loaded triple. Sines kocked in 2 with 2 singles on the day. Max Ray and freshman Alan Shannon collected two hits a piece. Bryan Keaton scored what turned out to be the winning run in the top of the seventh with a walk and then used his speed to advance on two ground balls and scored on a wild pitch. Brandon Metzgar got the win with 5 innings of work giving up 6 runs. Frosh Tyler Jones came out of the pen to get the save giving up just one earned run in the last two innings. OCU faces the 2 seed Florida Christian on Thursday at 2 PM.
