OCU Pitcher Ryan Black Enjoys Stint with Chillicothe Paints

CHILLICOTHE, OH - Ohio Christian University pitcher Ryan Black recently signed on for a summer pitching stint for the Chillicothe Paints. The Paints, an affiliate of the Prospect League, are currently in 2nd place of the East Division with a 7-6 record.  Black joined the wooden bat league in late May and took the field alongside other top college players from The Ohio State University, Ohio University, University of Toledo, and Western Michigan.

Black picked up his first win in relief for the Paints on June 5th as he led his team to an 11-9 win over the Lorain County Ironmen.  Black also saw action against the Richmond River Rats.

"Ryan is the first pitcher from our program to get picked up by a Prospect League team," said Coach Greg Bigam.  "He is one of our top players at OCU and he will represpent us well as he faces some of the top competition in the wooden bat summer league."
