Sneed Homers in Extra Inning Win Over Clark State
SPRINGFIELD, OH - Ohio Christian University rallied back to defeat Clark State in extra innings on Wednesday night, winning 10-7 in the 2nd game of a doubleheader. Clark State has been a powerhouse in the OCAC for the past two seasons and came away with a 6-1 victory in game one as the teams split the two game series.
"This was hands down, the biggest win of the season for us so far," said Head Coach Greg Bigam. "We came back with two runs in the 7th inning to tie the game and force extra innings and then rallied for five runs in the 8th to pull out the win. I couldn't be more proud of these guys right now."
Avery Sneed led the OCU rally with his first home run of the season. Sneed would finish the game with three hits. Kelton Sines provided a big boost for the Blazers as he connected on four base hits in the game two victory. Freshman Mike Miller pitched 3 1/3 stellar innings of relief to earn the victory for OCU.
The Trailblazers are back in action this Saturday when they host OCAC rival UC-Clermont. The first pitch is scheduled for 12:00PM in what will be the first game of the season at Olson Field.
