#5 Trailblazers Lose to #4 Central Bible College 67 - 85
Foul trouble and very poor shooting took the Blazers out of the National running Thursday night against the host team Central Bible.
"We had a great tournament environment with a full house to play in Thursday night but the guys came out tight and got into foul trouble early and we were fighting an uphill battle the whole game" said coach Christopher.
Center Michael Baker got three early fouls which put him on the bench. Central was able to control the boards most the game. Going into half time the Blazer were only down by 7 with a score of 39 - 32. "I felt like we were still in good shape going into the half and we would get our bearings and come out and play a great second half." This would not be the case as the blazers shot a dismal 36 percent from the field and Center Michael Baker and Forward Jeremy Hays fouled out in the second half.
OCU's freshman point guard Bryan Keaton did however lead all scores and had a season high of 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The Trailblazers will finish the tournament in the conciliation bracket and will be playing for 5th place.
