Blazers 1-1 For the Weekend

The team went into a hostile environment on Friday night against World Harvest Bible College losing the outing 56 to 74.  "Harvest is a tough place to play for any team.   They have several home game antics to try to play on teams psyche before the game even starts.  We know this going to happen but have to play through it."  The Blazers shot their worst game of the year, hitting only 19 or 62 from the field compared to Harvest's 28 of 49.  "Harvest is very athletic and contested our shots well.  They kept pressure on the ball and were quick to the boards holding us to one shot most of the game.  WHBC also beat the Blazers on the boards 34 to 24.  Harvest's Center Brandon Clack played very well with 26 points and 12 rebounds.

On Saturday the Blazers won their 20th game of the year against Wright State Lake 76 to 67.  The team shot 50 percent from the field which was much better than Friday.  The best stat was from the free throw line. The team shot 90 percent 18 for 20 for the game.  "We have been struggling from the free throw line for several games.  It was good to see us knock them down because in the end we needed them to win" said Coach.  Stefan Vasiloff played well for the team after a tough loss on Friday.  He had 23 points and 9 rebounds.  Freshman Bryan Keaton played well with 12 points and Center Michael Baker had 10 points with 7 boards.  The Lakers Forward Damon Burtke shot 7 for 15 from the field and 3 for 6 from the three point line for 22 points.  The Trailblazers now 20 and 4 on the season will travel to Cincinnati University Clermont on Tuesday.
