Men's Hoops Looks To Rebound From Two Losses Over Winter Break

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The OCU Men's Basketball Team looks to rebound from a pair of losses over winter break on Tuesday when they take on NCCAA Mid-East Region rival, Boyce College.

OCU took on their two toughest opponents over the break as they travelled to NCAA Division II affiliated Ashland University and NAIA Division I #4 ranked, Pikeville University.

OCU suffered big losses in both contests, despite some great indivdual performances.  Freshman guard Treyvon Crater tallied 16 points in 16 minutes in the loss at Ashland.  Wesley Russell tossed in 17 points while freshman guard Jimmy Horton scored 13 in the loss at NAIA D1 #4 Pikeville.

"These games showed us a lot about ourselves," said OCU Head Coach Tony Stockman.  "We could have opted for a longer, more relaxing winter break but we chose to play two really challenging games and hopefully we will be better for it come March."

OCU will look to rebound on Tuesday night when they begin region play at home against Boyce College from Louisville.  The game is the regional opener for the Trailblazers.  The contest is set to tip-off at 8:00 PM.  OCU Tuesday Night Hoops is Presented by Subway.  Each attendee will receive a coupon for a free 6" inch sub (with the purchase of a drink and chips).
