OCU Men Ranked #3 in NCCAA National Poll

GREENVILLE, SC - The OCU Trailblazers have been ranked #3 in the first regular season NCCAA National Poll. The poll is a coaches poll where regional chairs vote on the top teams in the nation. OCU currently stands at 4-3 on the young season and has played one of the toughest schedules in the NCCAA. The Blazers have picked up quality wins over Siena Heights University (NAIA) and Mulnomah University. Ohio Christian also had a strong showing at #2 ranked Valley Forge Christian College where they were tied 74-74 with one minute left in the game.
Ohio Christian also has several players who rank as national leaders in individual statistics. Wesley Russell and Mohamed Fall are ranked in the top 20 for field goal percentage with 58.2% and 54.3% respectively. Tirrell Cumberland is 11th nationally in free throw percentage at 88.0%. Wesley Russell is 3rd nationally in assists at 5.6 assists per game. James Nelson is ranked 2nd in blocked shots with 2.7 blocks per game. Tirrell Cumberland and Wesley Russell are amongst the national leaders in steals per game with 3.0 and 2.0 steals per game respectively.
