Ohio Christian Dominates Clark State 84-30
CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Ohio Christian took on Clark State on Tuesday night as both teams opened up the OCAC season schedule. OCU dominated every facet of the game and came away with an 84-30 victory to move to 4-3 on the season and 1-0 in the OCAC. OCU started off strong with a 26-4 advantage in the first 10 minutes never looked back.
An off the backboard pass from Wesley Russell to James Nelson for a slam dunk electrified the home crowd and capped off a 10-0 Ohio Christian run in the first half. OCU went into halftime with a comfortble lead with the score 54-16.
Clark State was never able to get things going in the 2nd half as the Trailblazers pushed the lead to 50 points in the closing minutes. OCU went with a deep rotation, playing every player as 13 different players scored in the contest. Ohio Christian shot 75.0% from the floor (36 of 48) and enjoyed a 28-14 rebounding advantage over the visiting Eagles.
Milen Kostov led the OCU effort with 12 points on 5 of 6 shooting. Mo Fall was 5 of 5 from the field for 10 points in the win. Wesley Russell had 10 points and 5 assists and was also 5 of 5 from the field.
OCU (4-3, 1-0) is back in action next weekend when they head to Canton, Ohio to take on Walsh University and Malone University in the Hoops for Healing Classic on the campus of Malone University.
