SVSM Standout Senior Treyvon Crater Joins Blazers

AKRON, OH - Treyvon Crater has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Ohio Christian University.  The senior guard signed on the campus of St. Vincent St. Mary High School on Wednesday accompanied by friends and family.  Crater was a standout guard for the Irish where he played under the direction of Head Coach Dru Joyce.

Crater played on Irish State Championship teams in 2009 and 2011 at SVSM.  During his senior season he posted averages of 15.3 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.5 rebounds per game.  The 4 year varsity letterman was a team captain during his junior and senior seasons.

"I Loved the campus and the coaching staff but what really drew me in was the meaning and purpose of the school," said Crater.  "After my visit to the campus I decided I wanted to become a part of the OCU family.  I feel like OCU will help me develop and become a better person both on and off the floor."

Crater joins an OCU program that went 27-10 last season.  The Blazers reached the Final Four for the first time in program history after reaching the National Tournament for a third straight time.  OCU tips off the season in November vs Indiana University East.
