Trailblazers Advance to Second Round of NCCAA National Tournament

The # 5 seeded Trailblazers of Ohio Christian University advance to the second round of the NCCAA National Tournament after defeating # 12 Lancaster Bible College on Tuesday night 78 to 47.

"The game went like most 5 vs 12 tournament games should go but that still does not stop the butterflies and anxiety that goes with tournament play.  By winning the first round we are now guaranteed the full four game tournament. If a team loses in the first round they play a conciliation game the next day and then go home.  We had no intentions of going home.  The guys played well and I look forward to the next game," said Coach Christopher.

The Trailblazers get Wednesday off as they prepare for the host team # 4 seed Central Bible College on Thursday night.  The Blazers like their match ups with Central.  Central returns basically the same team as last year.  The Blazers defeated this team last year in the tournament and you know that their fans will remember this as they come out to support their home team.

Standouts from Tuesday's game were Stefan Vasiloff with 20 points, 3 rebounds and shot 4 for 6 from three point land. Center Michael Baker with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocked shots.  Tim Baker with 13 points and Michael Farrell coming off the bench to score 10 points.
