Trailblazers Fall to Mt. Vernon

Ohio Christian University Trailblazers fell to Mt. Vernon Nazarene Cougars 72 to 84.  The game was as good as it gets for the fans of the Trailblazers. There were multiple lead changes and many highlight plays.  Due to foul trouble late in the first half the Cougars made a late half run going into the locker room up 41 to 30.  The Trailblazers made several runs in the second half cutting the lead to four on several occasions. The Trailblazers then missed key free throws and six straight shots late in the game to give the Cougars a comfortable twelve point win.

Center Bryce Sanborn for the Cougars had an outstanding game with 23 points and 17 rebounds.  Standouts for the Trailblazers included sophomore Michael Farrell who shot 3 for 5 from three point land and 5 for 5 from the free throw line.  He scored 18 points and 4 rebounds. Junior guard Tim Baker had 15 points and 6 rebounds while freshman forward Jeremy Hays had 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals.   The Trailblazers are now 2 and 1 going into a home contest on Friday against UC Clermont at 8 pm.
