Trailblazers Win Buzzer Beater

Trailblazers win Buzzer beater against UC Clermont 75 to 73. The Trailblazers men's basketball team shot well against Clermont. 58 percent from the floor and 66 percent from three point land. UC Clermont hung around for the entire game with their quick moves to the basket, several offensive rebounds and second shot put backs. "We did not help ourselves very much by putting our opponents on the line early in the game. We were slow to stop the drive and then fouled way too often. We got the win but still have some things to tighten up." says Coach Christopher. Guard AJ Frazier shot the ball well for Clermont. He shot 55 percent from the field scoring 22 points. OCU's Tim Baker had a good game shooting 6 for 8 from the floor and 2 for 3 from the three point line scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. Stefan Vasiloff played well again for the team. Stef had 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. The most important shot from Stefan was to hit the game winner at the end of regulation. Clermont had gotten an offensive rebound off of foul shot with 30 seconds left and hit a three point shot to tie the game at 73. "We ran the clock down to 14 seconds and called time out. We screened for Stefan to receive the ball at half court and then gave him a high screen to let him go to work for a good shot. Stefan got to lane and hit a bucket with 1.6 left on the clock. No time to get a shot off from our opponent." The trailblazers now 3 and 1, travel to Indiana to take on Indiana University East on Tuesday.
