Trailblazers Win Over OU Lancaster
The Trailblazers of Ohio Christian University move to 7and 2 with a win over Ohio University Lancaster Wednesday night 91 to 64. The Trailblazers jumped out to an early lead by pressing the ball early in the game. The team had 13 steals for the game which lead to transition points. The Blazers shot well from the field shooting 58 percent from the field and 50 percent from the three point line. All American point guard Rickshontae Spell returned to the hardwood for the first time this season after having a minor surgery on his knee. Spell had 13 points and 4 assists. The Trailblazer fans were very glad to see Spell back on the floor and look forward to see his speed and athletic ability. Shooting guard Michael Farrell played well for the team as well. He had 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Farrell is the fourth best free throw shooter in the nation at 96 percent. "We played ok tonight. We had a chance to work on some things and get different players on the floor," said Coach Christopher. Lancaster's Andy Schmitz played well scoring 14 points, 2 boards, and 2 steals. The Blazers get the weekend off and play again at home on Tuesday against Boyce College from Louisville, KY.
