Maysville Senior Brett Potts Signs with OCU Cross Country

ZANESVILLE, OH - Head Coach Jim Diltz is pleased to announce the addition of Brett Potts to OCU Men's Cross Country.  Potts was a standout performer at Maysville High School in Zanesville, Ohio where he enjoyed a strong prep career as a runner under the direction of Coach Paul Bailey.

Brett ran for personal records in the 1600, 3200 (T&F)  and 5000 (XC) during his senior year at Maysville HS.  He is a four year letter winner in both Cross Country and Track.  He is a two time scholar-athlete award winner and has been an inspirational team leader for the Panthers. 

This past year Brett has served in a leadership capacity as a student member of the Maysville Board of Education.  He was recognized by the county this past February as he was honored as a 2013 Muskingum Christian Athlete Leadership Award recipient.

Maysville Athletic Director Mark Rider and Superintendent Monte Bainter all praised Brett for the example he has set for the younger athletes in the Maysville school system.  
 
Potts will set out to be a major contributor early on as OCU Cross Country prepares to compete in the NCCAA Nationals in October.
