Blamo Scores 4 Goals as OCU Rolls to 7-0 Victory

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Dave Blamo was in the zone on Saturday afternoon as he led OCU to a 7-0 victory over Grace Bible College at home.  The win was the third straight for Ohio Christian as they have outscored opponents 17-1 during their three game winning streak.

OCU was on the attack from the onset as Blamo connected on goals in the 6th minute and 8th minute to give the Blazers a 2-0 lead.  Blamo would go on to score two more goals and dish out an assist to lead OCU in a historical performance.

Emanuel Harris was setting up teammates from start to finish as he assisted on a total of four goals.  AC Gracelien gave OCU a spark with a pair of goals.  Trevor Kackley rounded out the OCU scoring as he hit the back of the net for his first career goal.

Steve Fabian was strong in goal as he tallied his 2nd shutout of the season.  OCU outshot Grace 34-3 in the contest as the Blazers kept the pressure on for the entire 90 minutes.

"Our spacing was a lot better today and it allowed us to move the ball effectively as we looked to expose gaps in the Grace defense," said head coach Josh Murton.  "We were able to come out and start fast and I think our guys were ready to make up for our loss to Grace last season."

OCU (3-1) is back in action on Wednesday as they look to extend their winning streak to four games as they take on Bluffton University at home.  The game is set for a 4:00PM start.
