Blazers Shutout Appalachian 5-0 on the Road

BECKLEY, WV - The OCU Men's Soccer team took on Appalachian Bible College on Tuesday night in West Virginia and game away with their 5th shutout of the season in a 5-0 victory.

The win puts the Blazers at 8-7 on the season and pushes them to a perfect 6-0 in Mid-East Region play this year.  The win extends the region winning streak to 35 games for OCU, dating back to the 2010 season.

With two region games remaining against Johnson University and Crown College, the Trailblazers have already secured the #1 seed in the 2012 Mid-East Region Soccer Tournament.  The tournament is set to take place next weekend on the campus of Kentucky Christian University.  The winner of the regional will secure an automatic bid to the NCCAA National Tournament in Florida.
