Men's Soccer sign Grove City Christian MVP

Grove City Christian's soccer program sent one of it's best soccer players to OCU on Wednesday in Josh Slone.  While at GCC, Josh accomplished a lot on the field and helped lead his team to the Regional finals in 2009.  "Josh is a positive, coachable kid who comes from a good family.  His energy on and off the field will serve us well", mentioned OCU coach, Josh Murton "and I know OCU will help him grow into an excellent young leader for our society". 

Josh is the first to sign at OCU for soccer from Grove City Christian."It's a growing school that is doing a great job with our youth and that will translate for Josh into being a big part of OCU soccer for the next four years and we are ecstatic to have him here", mention Coach Murton.

Josh was a four year starter and Captained Coach Morrison's team for the past two years.  "It tells us his leadership ability and passion for the game", added Coach Murton. He also garnishes league honors and team honors through out his four years.

OCU Men are coming off their best season in school history finishing 17-6-1 winning the Mid-East Regional Tournament for the first time and placing 3rd in the Nation after defeating 3 time National Champs, Manhattan Christian and then #1 ranked Providence College in the NCCAA National Tournament.
