OCU Emanuel Harris Moves on to a Professional Career

43 goal, 27 assists and a re-vamping of a program would tell anyone that they left their mark on something.  That is what Emanuel Harris' career at OCU was.  "Eman" has signed with the Rio Grande Valley Bravos, a USL Priemier team in southern Texas.  He marks the 1st player from OCU to move on to the professional ranks.

It wasn't just the goals that mattered, it was the attitude he brought to the field.  "Eman taught us how to win.  He expects and demands a lot from himself and those around him and it showed", mentioned Coach Murton.  "He isn't the only one who got us here, but he helped lead the way", Murton further explained.

Eman holds the school record for:

  • Most Goals in a career (43)
  • Most Assists in a career (27)
  • Most Career Points in a career (113)
  • Most Assists in a season (19) in 2009
  • 2nd in most goals in a season (22) in 2009 &
  • 3rd in most goals in a season (21) in 2008

He also was honored with:

  • NSCAA/ NCCAA 1st Team All-American (2009)
  • NSCAA/ NCCAA 2nd Team All-American (2008)
  • CCSN.net - NCCAA Player of the Year
  • NCCAA Mid East Region Player of the Year (2009)

  • NCCAA Mid East Region 1st Team (2008)
  • OCU Offensive Player of the Year (2009)
  • OCU Offensive Player of the Year (2008)

"We will miss Eman, not just for his skills as a player but also as a person.  I feel strongly that we helped him grow as a human being and helped him to be better prepared for his professional career.  I look forward to following him in his successes in the future." finalized Coach Murton.
