OCU Soccer Spends Time With Youth Camps

The OCU men's and women's soccer programs have been involved all summer giving back.  With representatives from both teams, OCU was involved in 3 camps within three different areas around central Ohio.

On June 21-24, OCU teamed up with the Columbus Crew, Upward and FCA in the REACH Soccer Camp.  The camp was held at Harvest Christian Community in which soccer skills and GOD were used to connect with the youth.

On July 26-29, OCU assisted Pride Soccer Club in a Creative Skills Camp where kids played without shoes and learned trick moves.

On August 2-4, OCU teamed up with Counrtyside Church of the Nazarene in providing soccer skills and hope to the youth in areas aroud Pickaway County.

OCU Soccer will continue to work with local youth this fall in helping referee the Upward soccer games at Circleville Church of the Nazarene.  "This is the best part about our jobs.  To watch these kids get excited about not just soccer but life in general is a big part of our ministries.  We use soccer as a "vehicle" to reach these youth and I sure hope we have made an impact", mentioned Coach Josh Murton
