OCU Storms Past Kentucky Christian 8-0

GRAYSON, KY - Ohio Christian took on KCU on Tuesday night and came away with a convincing 8-0 victory.  The game was scoreless heading into the 20th minute until Jimmy Galvan scored to give OCU a 1-0 lead.  Dave Blamo and Aaron Young would follow that up with goals of their own to take a 3-0 lead at the intermission.

OCU would continue to attack in the 2nd half as OCU senior Dexter Chapman scored back to back goals in the 47th and 57th minutes to put OCU out in front 5-0.  AC Gracelien setup freshman Adam Knox for a goal in the 65th minute to take a 6-0 lead.  Jake Morrison scored in the 75th minute after being assisted by Nate Welch.  Bryon Davis rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal to push the lead to 8-0.

OCU was the aggressor all night as the outshot KCU 25-1 in the match.  The Trailblazers win pushes the all-time series to 19-14-1 in favor of KCU.  Ohio Christian now stands at 7-2-1 on the season heading into a matchup with Johnson University this weekend.

"The men responded very well tonight after having a let down against Shawnee State on Monday," said head coach Josh Murton. "We did a lot of selfless things and did what we needed to do for each other to help the team win. It was an enjoyable win, but now we need to focus on Johnson University."
