OCU Tallies 5th Straight Shutout Win

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Ohio Christian men's soccer team tallied their 5th straight win in shutout fashion on Wednesday night as they blanked visiting Anderson University 1-0.  The game was close throughout until OCU scored off of an own goal after a throw in by Bryon Davis in the 60th minute of play.  That one goal would prove to be the difference as the OCU defense and goalkeeper Steve Fabian chalked up their 5th straight shutout win.  Fabian tallied 6 saves in the contest.  The shot total in the game was even at 10-10.

"It was nice to get another win against an NCAA opponent, but I know we can do more from an overall aspect on this team," said Coach Murton. "We are starting to get healthy again and so it might take some time to click on the offensive side of the ball but we will work that out. Overall it's a win and we will take that and move forward."

The Trailblazers are currently ranked #2 in the NCCAA National Poll and stand at 11-2-1 on season.  OCU is back in action on Friday when they take on Johnson University.  A win by OCU would clinch the #1 seed in the Mid-East Region Tournament.
