For the first time in the history of the OCU women's basketball program, the Lady Trailblazers defeated the Cougars of OU-Lancaster on Wednesday night 63-55. The Ohio Christian University women's basketball team traveled to Phoenixville, PA over the weekend. On Friday, the Lady Blazers defeated Valley Forge Christian College 74-69. OCU was led by freshmen guards Shelby Roe (19 points) and Courtney Schilling (13). Senior All-American guard Brenda Carter also chipped in 11 points, and junior forward Danielle Fleming added 10 points.&

Women's Basketball Signs Eastmoor Academy's 6'0 Post Standout
The Lady Traiblazers signed Asia Glenn, a 6'0 post player from Eastmoor Academy in Columbus, this weekend. Glenn averaged a double-double (10 points and 10 rebounds) this season and was an All-City League selection.
Lady Blazers Receive Another Recruit Committment
The OCU women's basketball team received another recruit committment last week. Germany's Janel Briscoe, a 5'5 point guard from Patch High School in Stuttgart, Germany, committed to play for the Lady Blazers next season. Briscoe averaged 15 points, 4 steals, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds per game in her senior season.
OCU Signs Dual Sport Athlete from Northridge to Play Softball and Basketball
The Ohio Christian University Trailblazers have signed Northridge High School's Lindsay Rose as a dual sport athlete. Beginning with the 2009-2010 basketball season Lindsay will be playing basketball for the Trailblazers.

The Lady Trailblazers signed Courtney Schilling, a point guard from Liberty Union High School. Courtney averaged 9 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game in her senior season.
