OCU Men's Basketball Signs Nelsonville All-Star Josh Walter

Head Coach Jamey Batten is pleased to announce the addition of Josh Walter to the OCU men's basketball program. Josh comes to OCU after playing four stellar seasons at Nelsonville-York High School under head coach Tom Taggart. Josh enjoyed an outstanding senior season as he posted career highs of 19.6 points and 13.7 rebounds per game for the Buckeyes. For his sensational senior year Josh was honored as a 1st Team Tri-Valley Conference selection, 2nd Team All-District selection, and received All-State honors.

"Josh is a gifted athlete with amazing jumping ability and tremendous physical strength. He is a great rebounder and loves to finsh at the rim.", said Head Coach Jamey Batten. "He also brings a great personality and strong work ethic to the table. We are very pleased to have a young man of this caliber join our basketball family. We expect Josh to move some bodies inside and shake things up in the paint for us this season."

Josh is the final addition to an already stellar recruiting class for 2007. His athletic ability, including a 37 inch vertical leap and 370 lb. bench press, will be sure to make a strong impact in the Blazers efforts on the hardwood this season.
