OCU Soccer Kicks Off Season in KnoxvilleThe Blazers traveled to Knoxville, Tennesse this past weekend and kicked off their season with conference games against Johnson Bible College and Crown College. On Friday night, OCU played under the lights against conference power Johnson Bible College in the season opener. The Blazers played a solid game but came up short as they lost 2-0. OCU was without Dominic Lehman, their starting goalkeeper, who was recovering from a leg injury. On Saturday the Blazers took on Crown College. After struggling in the first half and trailing 5-0, the Blazers regained their form and played a much better second half but still fell 6-0 to the Crusaders. The Blazers then traveled to Chicago, Illinois where they attended the United States vs Brazil international game at Soldier Field. The game was an opportunity for all of the team to see the game of soccer at an elite level. OCU will look to pick up their first win of the season as they take on Ohio Valley College this Tuesday at 4PM.
