OCU Soccer Defeats Kentucky Christian 2-1

The Ohio Christian University men's soccer team picked up a big win this week as they defeated the Knights of Kentucky Christian University by a score of 2-1 in a thrilling game. The win is the first conference win of the year for the Blazers who are now 1-2 in conference play. OCU got things going early as Josh McGrady gave the Blazers a 1-0 lead with a beautiful goal just minutes into the first period. Solid defense and great play by goalkeeper Dominic Lehman kept OCU in front with a 1-0 advantage through halftime and well into the second period. KCU rallied back in the final 15 minutes and netted a big goal to tie the score at 1-1. OCU bounced back with an aggressive offensive barrage in the final minutes which resulted in a Mark Justice corner kick that found the back of the net with just minutes remaning to give OCU a 2-1 lead. The Justice goal proved to be the gamewinner.

OCU is back in action on Friday night at 5:00pm as they take on Johnson Bible College at home. The Blazers are looking to avenge a 2-0 loss to JBC earlier in the season.
