Kara Potochnik latest Volleyball Signee

Kara Potochnik has signed a letter of intent to play with the OCU women's volleyball team. She brings with her 4 years of varsity volleyball experience. Kara will graduate from Fairfield Christian Academy where she currently has a 3.92 GPA. She has been a member of Fairfield Christian's National Honor Society her 9th through 12th grade years. Kara has demonstrated the ability to lead through being a team captain her junior and senior seasons, a Student Council class officer all four years of high school, and has been a member of yearbook.

Kara is entering her 3rd year of working for Echoing Hills which is a camp that serves those with special needs. She also volunteers her time at Maywood Mission which serves the needy.

On the volleyball court, Kara has garnered several awards including the Coach's Award, the Heart and Hustle Award, and the 90.9 WFCO Player of the Game, and 2nd Team All -League honors which she received her junior and senior seasons. During the senior season, Kara earned 38 aces and 118 assists.

"We value several of the attributes Kara brings to the table," stated Head Coach Wes Brothers. "She brings energy, a "can do" attitude, and is very coachable. We are very excited to have Kara join us."
