Men's and Women's Soccer Sign Recruits
Ohio Christian's soccer programs both made significant signings this past week. The men signed highly touted Dave Blamo from Westland High School. Dave was sought after by Defiance College and Ohio Dominican, but OCU is where he is headed. "Dave is a big boost to our offense but more importantly he is a great young man. He is quiet but one of the more pleasant people I have been around. I am so glad to have him a part of our team, school and community" commented Coach Josh Murton. Dave marks the 6th incoming freshman to sign with OCU this off-season but Coach Murton say's there will be more before summers end. "Right now we are waiting on some paper work for a couple others and then we will officially get them on board", elaborated Murton.
The women's program made their second official signing in the history of the program by signing Samantha Miller, a native of Reynoldsburg, OH. Sam played for Gahanna Arsenal FC during her club years and also played for Reynoldsburg High School. "Sam is going to be an immediate help to getting this program up and running. She is a very kind person, but I am thinking we will see some fire out there on the field from her." Sam comes to OCU after Hannah Woolever from Teays Valley signed with OCU earlier this year. "We have a few more coming on the women's side too" mentioned Murton on how recruiting is not done for the off season.
OCU Men's program will mark it's 22nd season and the women will have their inaugural season this year.
