Men's Soccer Sign 1st Recruit for 2010

Kevin comes to OCU from Southern State Community College where he is one of only two players to be named team captain his freshman and sophomore years.  Since SSCC is a 2 year college, Kevin wanted to further his college career and education.  OCU became a perfect fit for him.  While at Southern State, Kevin scored 9 goals and 8 assists leading the team to the schools only 2 winning seasons in 2008 and 2009.  He played in 37 of 38 games while at Southern State and started 36 of those 37 games.

"Kevin comes to us as a seasoned veteran.  That will be huge for us from the standpoint of leadership but also experience.  He also is versatile player so we will be able to put him anywhere on the field which is a plus" commented Coach Murton.

Kevin is the first to sign with the Regional Champs this off-season which Coach Murton hopes to be another successful recruiting season.  "Kevin starts us off down the right path.  We have quite a few others out there that are interested and that we are interested in.  Our focus is to make this program the best it can be on and off the field and so we are promoting the competition among our guys on a daily basis."
