OCU Men win 1st Regional Game ever!
OCU Men came into the Regional Tournament as the #1 seed. They did so a year ago also, but were beaten by Johnson Bible College in a tough loss. This year they played Appalachian Bible College and defeated them 3-1 in OCU men's first regional tournament win in school history.
OCU scored 3 first half goals by Chad Dobbs, Dave Blamo and Dexter Chapman to enjoy a comfortable lead. But ABC had other thoughts and scored a late goal to make things interesting while holding the OCU offense at bay. "We possessed very well today against a team who was on an emotional high. ABC came to play today and played the best I have seen them play all year. John (ABC's coach) should be proud at how these young men came out to play" elaborated Coach Murton on the win.
For a reward in winning todays game, OCU will face the team that knocked them out of last years tournament, Johnson Bible College. "They are a fast and agressive team. They will pose many problems for us and I think it will be a fun game to watch" added Coach Murton. The game will follow the Women's Final between OCU and KCU.
