OCU Softball Signs First Recruit

April 15th was a bright day for the future of the OCU softball program. Kourtnie Buchanan, a senior from Zane Trace High School, became the first recruit to sign a letter of intent to play softball. Kourtnie made her verbal commitment earlier this year, but has now officially signed her letter of intent to attend OCU and play softball for the Trailblazers.

"2010 will be our first season as a varsity sport. Adding some more experienced players will make a big difference in our program. We are hoping Kourtnie will be one of those strong additions. Defensively Kourtnie should add some depth at the corners on the infield, and offensively we are counting her to contribute at the plate, as well," says Emory Clark, head coach of the Trailblazer softball program.
