OCU Volleyball Drops First Match of Season

Lady Trailblazers dropped their first match of the season to the Evangels of Johnson Bible College 19-25, 19-25, 21-25.

"Tonight, our youth showed through," said Head Coach Wes Brothers. "JBC's aggressiveness was too much for us tonight as we were one step behind. One bright spot would be that our freshmen showed improvement on offensive transitions."

Ohio Christian University Women's volleyball has a record of 2-1 and a NCCAA MidEast Region record of 1-1. OCU is currently ranked 7th in the NCCAA II.

Sophomore Kristen Uetrecht had 16 assists and Junior Marissa Tackett led Ohio Christian with 16 kills and 6 aces.

Ohio Christian Volleyball's next home matches are Saturday, September 12th when the Lady Trailblazers face MidEast regional foe Crown College at 2 pm and UC-Clermont at 5 pm.
