Women Soccer Signs Goal Keeper

OCU Womens soccer signed Dana Strate to come play soccer starting in the fall of this year.  Dana fills in at a much needed position, goalkeeper, to help the 2009 regional finalist.  Dana come from Coshocton, Ohio but played her soccer at Holden High School and Firehawks F.C. in Holden, Missouri.

"Dana has a motor and drive in her that I think will be contagious.  She's competitive, but yet a great young lady.  She will fit into our team right away, I have no doubts", mentioned Coach Murton

The OCU women came a crossbar sort of heading to the national tournament in 2009, their inaugural season, losing to Kentucky Christian in double overtime during the regional final.  "It was a tough loss for us, but I think what it has done is make the ladies more determined and has turned some heads as far as recruiting goes.  So all in all, it was a good thing for us" added Coach Murton.

The women open up the 2010 campaign on Sept.28th at Cincinnati Christian University.
