Men's Soccer Wins Tournament Opener
Trailblazers score twice in 2nd half for 3-1 win over Manhattan Christian College. It all came down to being calm.
Trailblazers Improve to 3-1
The Trailblazers of Ohio Christian University move to 3 and 1 with a win over Temple Baptist College on Tuesday night. The Blazers defeated Temple 83 to 62.
Trailblazers Win Two
The Men's Basketball team of Ohio Christian University was at home this weekend in their annual Tip-Off Classic. On Friday the team took on Ohio University Lancaster in a 103 to 73 win. In his home game debut OCU's Tirrell Cumberland did not disappoint. Tirrell shot 5 for 7 from three point land and 8 for 10 overall. He finished with 27 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
Lady Trailblazers Win a Nail-Biter
The Lady Blazers extended their home game winning streak to fifteen on Saturday when they defeated Valley Forge Christian College 72-71 in a thriller. Three freshmen scored in double-figures for OCU, including Kendra Blair with 13, and Kaity Wyeth and Sharonda Jones with 12 points each. OCU men's soccer team travel to Kississmee, Florida today to make their second trip to the NCCAA National Tournament. Last year the men made their first trip and it was one to remember. Lady Blazers Win Season Opener
The OCU women's basketball team started off slow on Friday night, but used a late run in the first half to take a 45-33 lead. In the second half, it was more of the same, as the Lady Blazers' defense held Grace Bible College to only ten points, forcing 45 turnovers for the game. OCU Women's soccer ended it's 2nd year of existence this past weekend. It may not have gone the way they had hoped, but they still kept a standard, Regional Finalists. Trailblazers Lose Opener in Double Overtime Buzzer Beater
Trailblazers opened their season Tuesday night in Indiana against NAIA Indiana University-East. The team came out very slow and sluggish. At halftime, the Trailblazers went into the locker room down by 6 with a score of 35 to 41. "We came out of the locker room and tried to get the game up tempo by pressing and it back fired on us to put us farther in the hole.
OCU Volleyball 2010 Regular Season Recap
Coming off of a 4-21 2009 season that was full of ups and downs, Ohio Christian came into the 2010 season poised to build a stronger foundation. The Trailblazers brought in Tiffany Mosher, Ashley Southard, and Rachel Briggs who helped raise the serve receive percentage of the team from 78% in the 2009 season to 90% in 2010.
