The Ohio Christian Baseball Squad had the hot bats on a cool evening at VA Stadium in Chillicothe, banging out a school record 17 hits and scoring a record 23 runs in thumping Freewill Baptist 23-4 Monday night. The win also set another Blazer Baseball mark with the sixth win of the season marking the most wins in a season for OCU Baseball.
The Ohio Christian Baseball Team picked up their fifth win of the young season with a 12 to 10 rain shortened win over Ohio University Chillicothe. The Blazers played in a cold consistent rain at the VA Stadium in Chillicothe, led the entire game and got the win when the umpires called the game after 6 innings when it became nearly impossible to hang on to the ball or the bat.
After the second week of statistical reporting the Ohio Christian University Trailblazer softball program dropped in the national rankings to 30 out of 33 teams reporting. "We kind of expected that kind of drop this week since a lot of the schools had not reported during the first week," said Head Coach Emory Clark. The Trailblazers do have some team stats that are worthy of note.
The Ohio Christian University Trailblazer softball team fell short in both games of last Saturday's double header at Southern State Community College. The final score for the first game was 15-0 and the second ended with a final score of 17-0.

Kelly Boldman, a 6'3 senior at Minford High School, signed to play basketball for the Ohio Christian University Lady Trailblazers next season. It will add some much-needed height to the Lady Blazers' roster, who were out-sized almost every game this season. Boldman said, "It has always been a dream of mine to play college basketball, and God has allowed it to come true." <

The NCCAA uses a Revised Burbridge Rating Method that assigns values based on the opponent's highest affiliation.
The OCU softball team traveled to Wilmore, KY this past weekend to open their 2010 season against the Eagles of Asbury University. In the first game of the Saturday afternoon double header the Eagles defeated OCU 25-0. In the second game, OCU fell 17-0. "Asbury is a fine program. They have some good athletes.
