OCU Women Fall Short in Final

OCU Men's Soccer Win Regional Title!
On Saturday, October 31st at 3:30pm, Ohio Christian University celebrated their first Regional Tournament Champion in school history when the men's soccer team downed Johnson Bible College 5-2.
OCU Men Honored by Region
OCU Men were honored by the Mid-East Region Coaches after a successful season. Four players were selected 1st team:

OCU Men win 1st Regional Game ever!
OCU Men came into the Regional Tournament as the #1 seed. They did so a year ago also, but were beaten by Johnson Bible College in a tough loss. This year they played Appalachian Bible College and defeated them 3-1 in OCU men's first regional tournament win in school history.
OCU scored 3 first half goals by Chad Dobbs, Dave Blamo and Dexter Chapman to enjoy a comfortable lead

The NCCAA Mid-East Regional coaches met to decide who was the regional team of the year. OCU was blessed to be honored with four 1st teamers.

OCU Women to play in Regional Final
OCU Women's soccer is in it first year of existance. No one expected the women to do what they have done to this date. Today they defeated Johnson Bible College in the Mid-East Regional Tournament. The women move on to play Kentucky Christian Univ. in the Regional final. Winning tomorrow would mean a trip to Florida to play in the National Tournament.
Lady Trailblazers Placed on All Conference Teams
Junior Marissa Tackett was selected to be on the 2009 1st Team All Conference for the Ohio College Athletic Conference. Tackett suffered an ankle sprain halfway through the season and after a few weeks was back on the court.
Men's Basketball Pre-Season Review
Coach Christopher is returning for his third year as head coach for the Ohio Christian University Trailblazers. The last two seasons have been successful with '07-'08 being the first 20 win season in the school's history. They went on to be the runner up at the ACCA National Tournament.
Liesi South Named NCCAA Player of the Week
Liesi South, junior forward helped her team shut out Johnson Bible College (TN)along with NCCAA DII #7 Kentucky Christian University (KY). She also scored the game winner in double overtime against KCU and had an assist against Johnson from a defensive position.
Dave Blamo Named NCCAA Player of the Week
Dave Blamo, freshman forward had a great week scoring 2 goals and 1 assist in a win against Kentucky Christian, one goal in a win against Johnson Bible (TN) and one goal in a win against Crown College (TN). His totals for the year are 18 goals and 6 assists.
