Mandy Wray, Head Coach

Mandy Wray enters her second season as the head women's basketball coach at Ohio Christian University. Wray brings a wealth of experience both as a player and coach to the Trailblazers basketball squad. Coach Wray is passionate about the game of basketball and is excited about the opportunity to build a winning program at OCU.

In her first season, Coach Wray led the Lady Trailblazers to four wins in the Mid-East Region, the program's best record in regional play for several seasons, before a disappointing loss in the tournament. With a talented combination of new recruits and returning players, she has her goals set high for this season.

After a successful high school career at Bishop Hartley (Columbus, OH), where she played for a state championship in 1997, Wray went on to excel in college at James Madison University (NCAA DI). As a Duke, she was named Team Captain, earned the team's Hustle Award, Leadership Award, and Courage Award. She was also voted the Team Most Valuable Player and was a CAA and GTE Scholar Athlete. Although her playing career was cut short after her junior season due to an injury, she remained very active in the basketball program as a student assistant coach.

Wray continued her coaching career in 2001, becoming the top assistant at Ohio Dominican University. In her second season with Ohio Dominican she was instrumental in leading the Lady Panthers back to the NAIA National Tournament for the second time in school history. During the 2005-2006 season she served as the head coach of the JV team and also stepped into the role of interim head coach of the varsity program.

Wray received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from James Madison with a minor in Middle Education in 2001. In 2004, she completed her master's degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University.

Wray also serves as the Director of Athletics and Women's Softball Coach. She resides in Canal Winchester with her husband, Scott, and daughter Kiley.
