Boldman signs with Lady Blazers
Kelly Boldman, a 6'3 senior at Minford High School, signed to play basketball for the Ohio Christian University Lady Trailblazers next season. It will add some much-needed height to the Lady Blazers' roster, who were out-sized almost every game this season. Boldman said, "It has always been a dream of mine to play college basketball, and God has allowed it to come true."
Head Coach Mandy Wray said, "Kelly will be a nice addition to our team next year, on and off the court. She is a great young lady, and is determined to give God the glory in everything she does. Kelly will also add size and a presence in the paint, which is what we have been lacking the last few years."
Boldman will join the Lady Blazers coming off their best season in school history, finishing the season with a 26-6 record, including an undefeated 13-0 at home. Ohio Christian won the OCAC (Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference) Championship and qualified for the NCCAA National Tournament for the first time in school history. The Lady Blazers finished as the National Runner-up, losing in the National Championship game by two points.
