Brenda Carter joins 1000 point club

Senior All-American guard Brenda Carter became the second female member of the Trailblazer's 1000 point club last Tuesday at UC-Clermont.  Carter added 20 points on Thursday to bring her total to 1020 points with several games still left this season.  Carter joins an elite group of Trailblazer basketball players, including Jessie Gardner, the only other female in the group, and has left her mark in OCU sports history.  When she leaves OCU, she will hold the women's basketball records for: points in a game (44), career points, career steals, season field goal percentage, and career field goal percentage. 

Head Coach Mandy Wray said, "I am very proud of Brenda. This is a tremendous accomplishment for her and for our women's basketball program.  Brenda has truly helped build our program here at OCU and has been a huge reason for our success.   She will always have a place in the history of our program."
