Lady Blazers Advance to the Final Four of the NCCAA National Tournament

The #3 seed OCU women's basketball team faced #6 seed and host team Philadelphia Biblical University on Thursday night with a berth to the Final Four on the line.  The Lady Trailblazers took an early lead, forcing several turnovers and converting in transition, but PBU made a run of their own to end the first half, taking a 29-23 lead at half-time. 

Ohio Christian continued their full-court pressure in the second half, forcing PBU into 22 turnovers for the game.  The Lady Trailblazers knocked down free throws late in the game to seal a 62-55 victory and advance to the Final Four of the NCCAA National Tournament. 

Junior forward Danielle Fleming led all scorers with 18 points and 11 rebounds.  Freshman guard Dannyel Butte, recently named NCCAA 2nd Team All-American, added 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. Senior guard Brenda Carter, a 1st Team All-American selection, added 15 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
