Lady Blazers Rout Southern State 106-37

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The women's basketball team took care of business on Tuesday night against OCAC rival Southern State Community College.  The Lady Trailblazers opened up the game with a 10-0 run and never looked back.  OCU used strong defensive pressure and an aggressive transition game to take a 40 point lead at 68-28.

OCU moves to 8-4 on the season and 2-0 in the Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference with the blowout victory.  The win broke a 3 game losing streak for Ohio Christian who currently is ranked #3 in the NCCAA National Coaches Poll.  The Trailblazers are back in action on December 15th, when they travel to Kentucky to take on NAIA perennial power, Lindsey Wilson College.

The Blazers follow that up with a road game at NAIA affiliate Midway College.  The Blazers round out the first semester schedule by playing their 6th NAIA opponent, as they take on Alice Lloyd College on December 19th.

Coach Wray has put together a tough first semester road schedule to get her team battle tested for the NCCAA National Tournament.  OCU is still looking for their first NAIA win of the season after battling and losing very close games on the road against Trinity Christian College, Asbury University, and Berea College.
