Lady Blazers Sweep Think Pink Classic, Roe Becomes All-Time Leading Scorer

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The OCU Lady Trailblazers dominated their competition over the weekend as they hosted the 2012 Think Pink Classic and picked up two blowout wins.

On Friday night in the season opener, OCU knocked off OU-Chillicothe 104-57.  Kara Zwick led all scorers with 23 pts (11-12 from the field) and 7 boards.  Shelby Roe and Sarah Bechtel tossied in 12 each.  Maritza Will added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the win.  Coach Wray went deep to the bench as every OCU player scored.  The Blazers tallied 29 assists in the win.

OCU Senior guard Shelby Roe became the Career Scoring Leader at OCU on Friday night as she scored her 1,135th point.  Shelby celebrated the special night with all of her friends and family that were in attendance.

On Saturday, the Blazers knocked off local rival OU-Lancaster 93-59 in another convincint win.  Asia Woodson led all scorers with a game high 22 points and 4 steals.  Shelby Roe finished with 17 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, and 3 steals.  Kim Craycraft had 11 pts on 4 of 6 shooting from the field.
 
"It was a great way to start the season," commented Head Coach Mandy Wray.  "We played with energy and intensity and had a balanced team effort both games. I really liked the way we moved the ball offensively and played aggressive on both ends of the floor."
