OCU Women Cruise to 61-41 Win at Valley Forge

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The OCU women's basketball team moved to 4-1 on the season on Friday night as they beat the Patriots of Valley Forge Christian College in convincing fashion, 61-41.

The Blazers used an all out defensive assault in the first half to lockdown the host team offensively.  Shelby Roe matched up with Valley Forge star, Amanda Reich, limiting her to only 4 first half points.  OCU held the Patriots to only 8 first half points as they built a big lead and would never look back.

Sharonda Jones led the OCU offensive effort with 16 points.  Dannyel Butte was once again a big contributor for the Blazers as she tossed in a dozen points in the win.

Ohio Christian is back in action on Saturday as they take on Baptist Bible College in the final day of the Hersha Hospitality Classic at Valley Forge Christian College.
