Women's Basketball Announces 2011-12 Schedule

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Ohio Christian women's basketball team has released their schedule for the 2011-12 season.  Head Coach Mandy Wray leads the Trailblazers into this season after two consecutive NCCAA National Tournament appearances.  OCU finished as National Runner-Up in 2010 and finished in 3rd place in 2011.

OCU opens up the season at home with the Trailblazer Tip-Off Classic as they take on local rivals OSU Newark and OU Lancaster.  They will then hit the road for back to back tournaments at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and Valley Forge Christian College in Phildelphia.

The non-conference schedule this season features several challenging road games against strong NAIA scholarship programs.  During the month of December, OCU will be taking on Berea College, Asbury University, Lindsey Wilson College, Midway College, and Alice Lloyd College.

The region schedule will feature a pair of rivalry games against the defending NCCAA National Champions, Kentucky Christian University. The Trailblazers will also be taking on OCAC rival, UC-Clermont in a pair of exciting games.

"We are really looking forward to this season," said head coach Mandy Wray.  "We know that we have a more challeging schedule this year but we really feel like it will better prepare us for the competition we will face at the National Tournament."
