Women's Basketball Defeats Columbus State 71-60 at Home

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The OCU Lady Trailblazers avenged a 76-70 loss at Columbus State in December by beating the NJCAA affiliate 71-60 on Wednesday night.

The win is the third straight for Ohio Christian as the Blazers (12-10) have knocked off a pair of local crosstown rivals, beating both Valor Christian and Columbus State both within a 24 hour period.

The Trailblazers were led by senior guard Shelby Roe who tossed in a team high 17 points.  Olivia Davis was big in the middle for OCU as the freshman forward tallied a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.  Maritza Will had a strong performance with 11 points and 8 boards.  OCU had a season high 19 assists as a team.

OCU is back in action this weekend as they travel to Lancaster, Ohio on Friday night to take on Ohio University Lancaster.  OCU won their first matchup with OUL back in November by a score of 93-59.  The game is set for a 6:00 PM start.
